Novo OnBoard Retail Announce Participation at the World Passenger Festival 2024 Vienna

World Passenger Festival 2024 for Rail

Novo Onboard Retail are delighted to announce their participation at the World Passenger Festival, event in Vienna, Messe Wien, 25 – 26 June 2024 Stand #44.

With Rail operators increasingly looking to deliver experiences and services to passengers that will enhance their end-to-end journey experience, the World Passenger Festival provides the perfect platform for innovative technology suppliers like Novo to showcase their products and services to Rail operators from around the globe.

Showcasing – NovoConnect
Novo Onboard Retail will be exclusively showcasing their NovoConnect, Omni-Channel retail platform, allowing passengers to use their own devices, while in journey, to order food, beverages and other ancillary products and have them delivered directly to their seat. This is the first fully integrated onboard system that allows passengers and crew to see the availability of products in real-time during the journey.

All stock and pricing information is maintained in one place and the Passenger web view inherits stock plans, price lists and promotions from the planned Journey eliminating the need for dual entry and ensuring traceability of all stock throughout the supply/retail chain.

Serverless or Server Onboard
It is expensive and time consuming to install servers onboard train sets, and although this is an option, the NovoConnect, cloud based, at-seat ordering system has been designed not to require an onboard server, making deployment quick and extremely cost effective.
Offering streamlined onboard retail operations whatever the connectivity, the Novo product suite has the ability to maximise revenue and enhance the payment experience. With the integrated NovoHub Back-Office and have all the key ingredients to manage and control all aspects of pre and post journey sales.

Showcasing – CrossCountry Trains
CrossCountry Trains in the UK commissioned the development of a bespoke Left Onboard (LOB) onboard retail process for their fleet of 85 trains that operate throughout the UK. Come and see how the process works and gain an understanding of the huge advantages of working with a Left On Board stock management system.

New Offline / Online Payment Terminals
Payments onboard Trains are critical to the success of maximising revenue and ensuring that the passenger experience is exceptional. See our new range of PAX A77 and PAX A920 payment terminals capable of fully Offline / Online payments which is an essential requirement for Rail onboard retail.
