Kenilworth, UK. 10th April 2018: Novo OnBoard Retail, the leading provider of on-board retail IT solutions has announced the securing of a major contract from international duty-free operator JR – Heinemann Duty Free Limited Partnership (JR – Heinemann).
The new contract is testament to the successful new venture between James Richardson Israel and Heinemann. James Richardson Israel has a long and proud history of supply chain management for the sale of in-flight duty free and ancillary products. Bringing a wealth of experience gained from their presence in many European markets, the partnership is further strengthened by Heinemann, one of the world’s biggest duty free providers. As a result of the new contract, JR – Heinemann had a requirement for a new product suite to replace their existing legacy system and selected Novo’s complete on-board solution, “NovoStar”.
The Novostar cloud based product suite is set to integrate with JR – Heinemann existing ERP system to provide a complete environment for their existing and future Israeli airline clients. The on-board system will be supported by an associated back office solution, integrating with other business sytems software and payment providers to form an all in one system.
The primary motivation for the system upgrade will be to facilitate airline crew with the tools to deliver the best possible passenger experience. The front-end software will run on the latest generation android devices providing the crew with simple and intuitive screens as part of the on-board POS. The complete NovoStar product suite is set to enable hassle free on-board sales for crew and customers to enable quick sales transactions, with full visibility of activities, processes and reporting.
